Singapore is a destination where nature, design, and innovation comes together as one. The country is captivating to say the least. Palm trees, colorful gardens, avant-garde architecture, and a boastful luxury lifestyle all paints a picturesque backdrop that is sure to take your breath away. What I love the most about Singapore is the dynamic environment. The city is the perfect gateway for exploration. There were a number of activities that I was able to “cram” into my short stay that were both memorable and mind-blowing. Below is a recap of my immersion into the Singaporean lifestyle.
The Luxurious Lifestyle
Singapore is known for its lavish lifestyle. I decided to treat my self (special thanks to Chase Sapphire Preferred – if you don’t have this card, get one!) and spend a few nights at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton. The Ritz is the epitome of top notch service and ultimate luxury. The grounds are well kept and the staff, simply amazing! My room was located on the 8th floor facing the Marina Bay Sands and the Helix Bridge – as you can imagine, the views were stunning! The bathroom itself was twice the size of my bedroom back home. The huge soaking tub and massive rainfall shower left me exhausted as I spent nearly half my morning deciding which one to use first. One of the hardest task was trying not to spend all my time in the suite and actually go out and explore the island. Yes, the hotel is that great!
Life in the Fast Lane
What’s a better way to turn an ordinary day into an epic scene from Fast and the Furious? Thanks to Arthur and the Ultimate Drive crew, I was able to experience Singapore in a rather boastful manner. At Ultimate Drive, you can select your circuit of interest and a luxury car and paint the town red… or in my case, yellow. I opted for the yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
Marina Bay Sands
Call me superficial, but no trip to Singapore is complete without a visit to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel- period! The boat-shaped design is sheer genius with an iconic pool to match.
I’m not sure how to exactly describe the Helix Bridge, but do know that the design is DOPE!
The Garden City
Singapore definitely lives up to its name, the Garden City. The Gardens by the Bay and the botanical gardens depicts pure beauty and innovation. The Gardens by the Bay is a man-made rain forest and the Singapore Botanical Gardens is a great place to indulge in nature.

Singapore is quite amazing and surely an unforgettable experience. Take a look through the New York Times article to see why Singapore is listed as “a place to go” (click here) .
Until next time, cheers to the Vagabonding Life!
