Best Hotels in Dubai

Dubai offers a range of luxury hotels to fit all budget levels.  Here are a few of my favorites that I’ve had the pleasure of staying in and highly recommend!

Note: While there is the option for self-catered accommodations and airbnbs, Dubai has a brilliant hospitality sector and you should at least treat yourself to a night or two in one of their hotels.

Jumeirah/Umm Suqeim

Burj Al Arab

Dubbed the world’s only 7 star hotel, Burj Al Arab is truly a bucket list hotel for many. Picture this – over 200 duplex suites, 5 swimming pools, an atrium filled with gold, world class restaurants, and a fleet of Rolls Royce lining the forecourt. Burj Al Arab is also home to my favorite infinity pool! Read more on my stay at Burj Al Arab here!

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira

One of the newer hotels to burst onto the Dubai hospitality scene, the Mandarin Oriental overlooks the Arabian sea on one side and the Dubai skyline on the other. The interiors are inviting, their adults only infinity pool is one of the best in Dubai, the service is impeccable, and the dinning options includes Tasca and Netsu – both are amazing (especially brunch at Tasca).

Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf

Luxury boutique villas perched on the edge of a beautiful lagoon within the Madinat Jumeriah complex. Dar Al Masyaf is a collection of Arabian inspired summerhouses set within lush gardens with the beach a few steps away. Arrive by a traditional water taxi (abra) for a truly memorable experience.

Pearl Jumeirah

Nikki Beach Resort & Spa

5 star beachfront hotel with endless views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline. The resort features modernly decorated rooms with some benefiting from private decks and swimming pools, a world class spa, and home to my favorite beach club (the place to be on a lazy Friday afternoon)!

Business Bay/Downtown

JW Marriott Marquis

The JW consist of two iconic shaped towers facing the Dubai Canal and was once classified as the “tallest hotel in the world”. Despite it’s 5 star status, the JW offers luxury at an affordable price (if possible, book an executive suite with canal views) with 15 restaurants (Hotel Cartagena, Prime 68, and Tong Thai are among my favorites), a sleek and tasteful Vault bar, and two popular nightlife venues – 1 Oak and Seven Sisters.

Address Sky View

If you’ve been to the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, you will immediately recognize this hotel as it towers over Downtown Dubai with impressive views of Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Zayed, and Business Bay. Address Sky View is unique for several reasons – their infinity pool offers a head on view of Burj Khalifa, their Sky deck for sunset drinks (be sure to check out Ce La Vie), their spa (especially the private jacuzzi suite), and most rooms come with a view!

Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC)

Waldorf Astoria

A New York City classic in the heart of Dubai’s financial center equipped with a rooftop pool and bar, sleek interiors, and walking distance to Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa.

Four Seasons DIFC

You can never go wrong with the Four Seasons! However, if you are looking for a beach vacation, the Four Seasons Jumeirah may suit you better (Four Seasons DIFC tends to attracts a more business-oriented crowd given it’s location with the financial center but it’s great choice nonetheless).

Palm Jumeirah

W Dubai – The Palm

Fun fact, when the W Dubai The Palm opened it’s doors in 2018, I was the first guest to check in :-). This is one of my favorite hotels in Dubai – funky but sleek rooms, amazing pool layout, home to Akira Back (great Japanese restaurant), impressive sunset and champagne sabering at SoBe rooftop, and lot’s of eye candy!

One&Only The Palm

The most prestigious and exclusive address located on Palm Jumeirah (with a price tag to match)! The One&Only the Palm resides in complete seclusion at the end of the Palm where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s soaring skyline from your private beach. Although a bit far out from the main attractions, Guests are offered the added amenity of boarding the One&Only boat for transport into the heart of the city.

Dubai Marina/JBR/Bluewaters Island

The Address Beach Resort

The world’s tallest infinity pool that overlooks the world’s tallest Ferris wheel is located at the Address Beach Resort! Guests are captivated immediately upon entering the fashionable and charming lobby area followed by the stylish but simple rooms. Steps from the resort you’ll find the boardwalk/Jumeirah beach, the skybridge to Bluewaters Island, and easy access to plenty of restaurants to accommodate any budget level.

Caesars Palace

A bit of ancient Rome in the heart of Dubai. Caesars Palace is located on the new development, Bluewaters Island, with a private beach club, pantheon style theater, huge floor to ceiling windows, two swimming pools and a host of restaurants. The hotel (and some rooms) overlook Ain Dubai (world’s largest Ferris wheel) and less “flashy” in comparison to the Caesars hotels in Las Vegas. This hotel is a good time without the rowdy and unkept crowds like other beach front properties in Dubai.

Al Barsha

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates

Kempinski Hotel – where snow, sun and sand meets. The hotel is directly connected to Mall of the Emirates and the world’s largest indoor ski resort, Ski Dubai. While the Kempinski offers traditional rooms and suites, what makes this hotel unique are their Aspen Chalets that overlooks the slopes of Ski Dubai. I had the pleasure of spending an evening in their three bedroom ski chalet and it’s incredible! The interiors are warm and rustic, the spacious living room has a fireplace, there’s a grand staircase that greets you on arrival, dedicated butlers, and winter-inspired amenities.

Dubai Creek

Park Hyatt

A very underrated hotel mainly due to it’s distance from key attractions within Dubai. Although far from the hustle and bustle of the city, rest assured this property is a beauty. The Park Hyatt sits along Dubai’s creek with the Dubai skyline and endless views of luxury yachts in its backdrop. The hotel exteriors has a strong Mediterranean influence but the Arabic roots can be found within the elegant architecture and all rooms and suites offer stunning views across Dubai Creek!

Al Jaddaf Waterfront

Palazzo Versace

Reminiscent of a 16th century Italian Palace, Palazzo Versace is far from subtle. Upon check-in, expect high ceilings, marble interiors, well crafted Italian furnishings, landscaped gardens and rooms that lives up to the true essence of the Versace brand.

While this hotel is close to the airport, it may be a bit out of the way for many in terms of proximity to key areas within Dubai.

If a hotel you’re considering is not on my list it is due to one of the following reasons: 1) I have not stayed there or 2) I’m not a fan of the location, décor and/or services provided.

Happy Hotel Hunting!
